“Mother of mine”

“Mother of Mine” is a film about the fate of one little boy amidst the warring world. Finland goes to war and 9 year old Eero’s father is send to the front. Even though his father promises him that the war will soon be over, things are never the same again. Shortly after the start of the war, sad tidings come from the front that make Eero’s mother, Kirsti, break down completely.

KLAUS HARO was born in 1971, he made his claim with his debut film “Elina” (2002), the film won over 30 Finnish and international film awards and was Finland’s Oscar nominee in 2003. “Mother of Mine” is Haro’s second feature film. Haro has directed documentary and short films, including the acclaimed documentary “Three wishes” (2001) which tells the story of three children suffering from cancer.
