Ruza left Belgrade for Switzerland as a young woman full of hope for a new and better life. Twenty five years later she appears to have achieved everything: She owns a canteen in Zurich, which she manages with a firm grip and financial success. Ruza values her meticulously structured daily routine, both in her professional and private life. Ruzas's orderly world shifts when 22 year-old Ana from Sarajevo enters the scene. She feels threatened by Ana's direct and impulsive manner while at the same time she is intrigued by her zest for life

Andrea Staka was born in Switzerland in 1973. Andrea got accepted at the prestigeous London College of Printing in 1992. In London, her interest shifted from photography to film, and in 1993 she embarked on a MA in film at the School Of Visual Arts in Zurich from where she graduated in 1998 with her succesful short film Hotel Belgrad. Andrea Staka moved to New York in 1999 where she shot the short film Daleko. In 2000 she realized her first feature documentary Yugodivas.Das Fräulein is her first narrative feature film.
